Come along to see our lovely nursery facilities for children aged 3 years. Parents and carers are invited to our Open Day events on Thursday 12th February. We have two sessions - 10am and 4pm. You will be able to view our facilities and speak with the nursery teacher and senior members of staff. The sessions will last for no more than 1 hour.
Children who are born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023 are eligible for a full-time Nursery place in a local authority-maintained school within Bridgend County Borough, from September 2026.
Please book a space by completing this short form. Nursery Open Day 2026

Your child's first steps into school life are very important to us, to help support this we will offer a home visit, parent and child play session, and the opportunity to meet our nursery team.
You will receive an email from us outlining all the arrangements and dates to ensure a smooth transition into nursery.
We look forward to welcoming you and your child to Oldcastle Primary School in September.
Please click here to complete and submit the online Pupil Admission Form prior to starting school.
We are delighted to inform you that the school, in partnership with Bridgend Lifesavers Credit Union, operate a School Savings Club.
The School Savings Club is run by the school with the help of the children in year 4. Children can save as much or as little as they want. Every new child in the school will receive an amount of £2 to open the account. Your child will be able to pay money into their account every week on a particular day at the school and they will be issued with their own School Savings Book to keep track of their savings. The money can be withdrawn twice a year, once before Christmas and once before the end of the summer term
Our school savings club will offer an excellent opportunity for pupils to save each week at school. We hope to combine financial education, family engagement and promote partnership working within the community to help teach children from an early age the value of saving while learning valuable money management and life skills.
What is a credit union?
Bridgend Lifesavers credit union is a not for profit financial co-operative – which means they are owned and controlled by their members. They already run several hugely successful school savings clubs in Bridgend.
What do I need to do next?
To start saving for the first time, please complete a copy of the application form online via this link or download an application form and return to the school.
