  • Parent Governor Vacancy

    Oldcastle Primary School currently has a vacancy for a Parent Governor.  If you are interested in becoming a Governor at Oldcastle Primary please apply by providing a statement of 100 words or less on why you would like to become a School Governor.  Please send this information in by email to admin.oldcastleprimary@bridgend.gov.uk  or drop it into the school office.

     

    Governors play a key role in leading, supporting and improving schools.  They act as a link between parents, the local community and the school.  They are impartial and make decisions that seek to improve the school.  If you would like further information on becoming a School Governor please click here.

     

    Please submit your application statement by Friday 15th February 2019.

  • Don't forget we will be supporting the 'Wear Red for Wales and Velindre' charity campaign tomorrow. Children may wear red clothes to show support for the Wales rugby team and raise vital funds for Velindre Cancer Centre. All donations welcome.

    Learning Support Officers

    Grade 6 Full Time Equivalent £19,317

    The Governors of Oldcastle Primary School wish to appoint 2 motivated Learning Support Officers to join our supportive and forward thinking school on its journey to excellence. You will need to be someone who is highly motivated and can inspire and make learning fun, a person with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills who can engage and enthuse children, someone who is able to set and maintain high standards of learning and behaviour.

     

    Oldcastle Primary School aims to inspire, motivate and educate over 400 children from the age of 3 years to 11 years. We are an ambitious school where learning values underpin excellence, individuals are valued, achievements celebrated and where our pupils, staff and community are happy and safe and learn together through a lively and innovative curriculum.

    Learning Support Officer - Maternity Cover

    27.5 Hours per week – Term Time 8.55am to 3.05pm

    This post is likely to be based within the foundation phase working in our nursery

    Learning Support Officer - Fixed Term till 1st April 2020

    27.5 Hours per week – Term Time 11:30am – 5:40pm

    This role will be based supporting a range of structured interventions, leading play and activities during lunchtime, working with nursery while also supporting our extended service learning activities in our after school club.
